Frequently asked questions
Repairs
Do repairs come with a warranty?
Yes — every repair comes with a parts and labour warranty for peace of mind.
What type of screens do you offer?
We offer a range of screen options to suit different devices and budgets, including:
Genuine Screens – original manufacturer-quality screens, where available. Premium OLED – high-quality aftermarket OLED screens offering excellent colour, brightness and touch response. Standard OLED/FHD – a reliable option offering a good balance between quality and price. HD Incell – a more affordable option suitable for customers looking for a budget-friendly replacement. Please note: Screen options vary depending on the phone model. We’ll always let you know which options are available for your device before carrying out the repair.
How long does a repair take?
Most screen and battery replacements are done in under an hour. More involved repairs — water damage, board-level faults — may take longer, and we'll always tell you an estimate before starting.
General
What is the difference between Genuine, Premium, Standard and HD screens?
The main differences are screen quality, brightness, thickness, touch response, display technology and price.
Genuine Screen – The original manufacturer screen, where available. It provides the closest match to the display your phone originally came with, with excellent colour accuracy, brightness, touch sensitivity and overall performance.
Premium OLED – A high-quality replacement designed to closely replicate the original display. It offers excellent colours, brightness, contrast and responsive touch, making it a great choice for customers looking for an experience close to genuine at a lower price.
Standard FHD – A more affordable replacement that offers a good balance between quality and price. Compared with Genuine and Premium OLED screens, FHD options may have lower brightness, a slightly thicker profile and slower touch response, depending on the phone model.
HD Incell – Our most budget-friendly option. It provides reliable everyday performance, but compared with OLED options it generally has lower brightness, a thicker screen profile and slower touch response. Colour quality and viewing experience may also be more basic.
In simple terms: Genuine = Original quality Premium OLED = Closest alternative to genuine Standard FHD = Good quality at a lower price HD Incell = Most affordable option for everyday use
Please note that the exact differences can vary depending on the phone model and the screen available for it. We’ll always explain the available options and pricing before proceeding with the repair.
Will Face ID or Touch ID still work after a screen replacement?
In most cases, yes. Our technicians take great care when transferring and handling the original components. However, some newer devices may have software or hardware restrictions depending on the repair. In some cases, particularly when the LCD or other components are damaged, features such as Face ID may become disabled or may not function correctly after the repair.
Will my phone show a “Unknown Part” or display message after repair?
Some Apple and other smartphones may display a parts or component notification after a replacement. This depends on the device, the replacement part, and the manufacturer. Please note that using certain aftermarket or non-genuine replacement parts may also result in a notification or warning message appearing on the device after the repair.
How long does a screen replacement take?
Most screen replacements can be completed the same day, often within 30–90 minutes, depending on the model, damage and availability of the part. If the required part is not currently in stock, we can provide an estimated arrival time (ETA) so you know when the repair can be completed.
Can I pay online?
Not yet — we quote by chat or in person, and payment happens in the shop. This keeps things simple and avoids any card details ever touching our website.
Do you replace batteries?
Yes. We replace batteries for a wide range of devices, including iPhones, Samsung and other smartphones, as well as iPads, tablets and laptops. Battery replacement availability depends on the device model and the availability of the required battery.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 9:30am–6pm. Sunday, 10am–2pm. Bank holiday hours are shown on this site when they differ.
How do I know if my battery needs replacing?
Common signs include rapid battery drain, unexpected shutdowns, overheating, poor performance, or a significantly reduced battery-health percentage. A swollen battery can also cause the screen to lift, pop up, bulge, or separate from the device frame. If you notice the screen popping up or any signs of swelling, stop using the device and have it inspected as soon as possible.
Will my data be deleted during a repair?
We normally do not need to erase your phone for standard hardware repairs. However, we always recommend making a backup before any repair, as unexpected issues can occasionally occur.
Do you repair water-damaged phones?
We can inspect water-damaged devices and advise whether a repair is possible. Some water-damaged devices can be successfully repaired, depending on the extent and location of the damage. However, water damage is not guaranteed to be repairable, and further problems can develop over time after liquid exposure.
Do you repair charging problems?
Yes. We can diagnose issues such as faulty charging ports, charging cables, batteries and charging circuitry before recommending a repair.
Selling
Do I need an appointment to sell my phone?
No — bring your device in for an instant in-store evaluation, no appointment needed. If we make an offer and you accept, payment is immediate.
What happens to my data when I sell my device?
We carry out certified data erasure on every device we take in, so your personal information is permanently removed.
